When to stop performing CPR


  1. Defibrilator is on scene — Use the defibrilator instead
  2. EMS arrives and takes over
  3. If the person begins vomiting, turn them over to their side and scoop vomit out of their mouth to prevent them from choking
  4. If you get too tired, stop and get someone to takeover if possible
  5. If the person becomes responsive
  6. If they have a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate)
