In this project, my objective was to develop a 3D board game centered around the Imagine RIT event. While crafting the game, I intentionally positioned the tiger as a supplementary playing piece, ensuring it remained a secondary element. My primary focus was on emphasizing the visual prominence of the text to evoke a flyer-like poster aesthetic. I envisioned the board's spaces to represent specific events on the campus. To add a dynamic element, I conceptualized a spinner that would highlight both the board game's name and the corresponding event.
I initiated my creative process by exploring inspirational images of 3D modeled games. After settling on the concept of a board game, I delved into crafting the layout, aiming to evoke a sense of familiarity seen in traditional games. To achieve this, I incorporated a spinner and strategically placed stepping spaces to balance the overall abstract floor design.
Throughout the process, I experimented with the positioning of the tiger and text, striving to maintain a readable poster design. Emphasizing color and composition, I ensured the piece exuded an inviting atmosphere, guiding the viewer's eye to specific focal points. The final touches were applied through photo editing in Photoshop, complemented by subtle details added using ProCreate.

Engaging in this poster project provided an opportunity for me to venture beyond my familiar realm of 2D and delve into the expansive possibilities of 3D design. I found pleasure in experimenting with textures and composition, crafting a captivating perspective exclusive to the realm of three dimensions. Throughout the project, I gained insights into the significance of subtle details, appreciating nuances like the depth within floor cracks and the visual weight carried by each asset. This experience underscored the importance of meticulous considerations in elevating the overall impact of the artwork.
